PTFA

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association play a pivotal role within the heart of activities at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Primary School.

 

Aims
The Association aims to enhance the school experience for all the children, by raising money through fun events and activities throughout the school year.

School Needs
Recurring Needs:

​

  • Books: £3,000 - £4,000 / year

  • Santa and Easter Egg hunt: £100 each

  • School trips: usually free. Coach hire £500

  • Supplies: £200 for each class, £1,600 total

  • Tree trimming & roots in playground: essential cost due in the next 12 months, £8,000 (every 3 years)

 

Recurring Needs:

  • External lights for the playground: £2,220 (quote approved and works scheduled)

  • Tables & chairs for each class: £1,500 (one or two classes per year)

  • Interactive clever touch screens: £3,000 each. Only desirable at this stage.

Some of the things we paid for in the past two years, thanks to your donations: Books, Toys, Playground furniture, Tables & Chairs, School trips to Legoland, Science day, Book week, Sports equipment, Stage lights, Microphones, Queen’s 90th Birthday party, etc.

How can YOU help?
Help the PTFA at no extra cost to you:

​

  • Shop online with Easyfundraising. Register & Forward to friends & family:

  • At no additional cost. There is no need to leave your card details

  • Download the toolbar reminder on your laptop, tablet and phone

  • Choose and try in the shops, but buy online

  • Give your time for events

  • Suggest and organise an event (sports matches, quiz nights, etc.)

  • Donate raffle prizes & gifts

  • Share your passion or expertise to benefit the school, the children, or the parents:

  • Regularly, like language & sports classes

  • One-off, like offering your services at a stall during fairs or as an auction prize

  • Help us manage our PTFA

  • Keep updated Gift Aid records & database

  • Build a business case to apply for a grant

  • Buy items on sale at our fairs

  • Buy coffee & cakes at our bake sales

Donate to PTFA!
Help the PTFA at no extra cost to you:

​

  • One-off or regular donation

  • Boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate through Gift Aid (form with this newsletter) – this is for UK tax payers only

  • Company matched giving (time or money): some companies would give our PTFA up to £1,000 a year to match your donations (ask your employer or that of your family/friends!)

  • Give As You Earn (directly from your pre-tax salary) – for 40% taxpayer: a £20 donation to our PTFA only costs you £12

  • Bucket funding (benefit from Gift Aid)
